About the Author

Alan (D. Th.) was born and raised in Tanzania, moving to New Zealand when he was ten. His parents were born in Kenya, while his grandparents arrived in East Africa as missionaries from New Zealand and America during and after World War I. Alan met Lynda at University and in 1975 they were married. In 1981 they founded and pastored a church in Auckland New Zealand, before leaving in January 1988 for Tanzania where they founded The Joshua Foundation. A servant ministry to the body of Christ, the foundation pioneers and conducts Christian leadership and teachertraining initiatives and establishes Christ-centered schools. Alan and Lynda are still based in Tanzania, while their three happily married children and five grandchildren live in New Zealand. Alan is widely regarded as an apostolic prophetic father and teacher.
