About the Author

Sara “Sally” Banks Drawdy is a native of the Upstate of South Carolina, where she currently lives with her dog Cheemo - whose name means “Peace Be With You”.   She is excited to introduce her first children’s book and has ideas for many more to come. She endeavors to meditate on the things of heaven as part of her creative process.  She sees story and metaphor as profoundly powerful tools to develop and renew the mind.

In her free time, she especially enjoys writing and painting life verses with acrylic on canvas. She also spends as much time as possible outdoors in nature on hikes and walks with Cheemo and is counted among local pickleball enthusiasts.  She indelibly remembers the day that she first deeply felt that she was counted as a friend of Yeshua - Jesus.  She cannot wait until the fullness of JOY when all the Cosmos is awake to that reality – and the final reign in in unified SHALOM. 

Sally is currently building an online SHILOH Healing Community that is heaven inspired to lavish love, care, and community healing to those currently challenged with a mental illness.  She has a special mandate to help in this community.  The approach to healing includes practices to down-regulate the nervous system, and boost heart-brain coherence, combined with narrative therapy, story, and metaphor to rewire the brain and nervous system by renewal of the mind.   She believes this healing community will have a profound impact based on the θεραπεíα (therapeia) modeled by Yeshua.
